Return To Readiness
Return to Readiness for our military service members.
The Return to Readiness Treatment Program™ (RTR) is designed to provide integrated treatment services for active duty service members who are dealing with substance abuse and suffering from stressful or adverse situations resulting from deployment and reintegration.
Our goal for these patients is that they are able to deal with the multitude of issues that are a part of their lives as service men and women and continue an ongoing recovery process. We give these patients tools to help them get re-acclimated to a stable military life and allow them to be medically cleared for duty.
We accept referrals from all branches of military service. A soldier’s treatment program is determined by his or her bio psych evaluation and recommendation by the military.
Patients may be admitted for alcohol or substance detoxification. We offer a 14-day program in which each patient receives round-the-clock attention and nurse assessments every 4 hours to ensure successful and safe detoxification.
We also offer a 28-day rehabilitation program which features one-on-one therapy during detoxification, plus Alcoholics Annonymous and Narcotics Annonymous meetings that are held right here at our facility. In addition, our program includes a strong emphasis on patient education. We help patients learn the triggers and physical states of addiction so they can fully recognize and understand their disease.
Combat StressCombat stress, also known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, is based on a 28-day model of evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy for Combat Stress and Hazelden’s Living in Balance Program.
This military-tailored program is focused on Reintegration, Rebuilding, Resolution and Readiness.
Service members have the opportunity to participate in:
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder/Combat Stress therapy
- Trauma Groups
- Addiction-free pain management
- Anger management
- 12-step support groups
- Family therapy
- Individual therapy
- Educational programs focusing on anger management, conflict resolution and grief/loss
- Exercise/Recreation
- Cognitive Restructuring
- Life Balance Groups
Since this program is considered a military medical program, patients are expected to keep a military schedule. This includes revelry at flag and PT time. Patients also have the option of wearing their uniforms. Patients are grouped by their respective military branches and enjoy recreational activities, such as playing Wii and other leisure enjoyments, to help them maintain the same kind of lifestyle they experience in the barracks.
