Residential Program for Youth with Sexually Aggressive Behaviors

Coastal Harbor Treatment Center’s Residential Treatment Program for youth with sexually aggressive behaviors is specifically designed for the needs of this unique population.  The program delivers an intensive social model based on a cognitive behavioral level system that incorporates the individual developmental strengths and weaknesses of each adolescent into the individualized treatment plan.

We also offer an Abel Assessment for Sexual Interest, which provides objective measures that extend beyond the resident's awareness. This assessment also includes a detailed self-report of sexual behaviors. It rates cognitive distortions, the resident's efforts to answer in a socially desirable manner, and alerts the evaluator of potentially dangerous behaviors.  We also perform a Psycho-Sexual Assessment, which provides a brief history of the resident's early sexual development as well as a history of trauma or abuse. We believe in providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment where they can overcome those obstacles that may be hindering their healthy emotional growth.
